Is it the sexy vampires? The alpha Lycans? The sheer power of a hypnotic gaze? The kick ass heroines and the even badder ass heroes?
What if it is all of the above? Paranormal drew me in with Johanna Lindsey’s “Keeper of the Heart” in 1993. I’d been an avid reader of her work with her Vikings, but a switch was flipped when I grew so angry at Falon Vanyer. Shanelle Ly-San-Ter was no slouch as a heroine. Before, I’d always read about women who needed saving, and while strong in their own way within their culture, they were never women with whom I could resonate.
I’ve never in real life or fantasy expected a man to rescue me. I expected him to be handsome, fiesty, strong but always willing to balance me. My heroines are the same as are the heroines in the paranormal genre.
The Romance Writers of America defines Paranormal Romance as “Romance novels in which the future, a fantasy world, or paranormal happenings are an integral part of the plot.” This opens up a broad category for authors, potential authors and readers. We can write about anything! We can read about anything. This year alone I’ve read about vampires, lycans, were-cats, shape-shifters, unicorns, fae, and more. We’ve leapt through time and space, a few authors landing in the Regency era and falling in love with a fantastical creature. We’ve shifted forward in time and found love among the stars.
I know my favorite fantastical eras and creatures, what are some of yours? What would you salivate to read about?

My favorite paranormal creature I must say is dragons, and nymphs. The best part of being able to write paranormal is even if the creatures are the same the attributes for the creatures are never the same. For example we will take the most popular of them as of today. Vampires- What do you think of vampires? The sparkles and able to walk in day and never sleep, or do you think of dark night driven creatures that feast on blood of any human they can lay a hand on. That is what I think is the best part of paranormal books.
See, this is the reason I love paranormal! So long as you build the worlds according to your rules and stay within those rules, then anything is possible!
As a small child, I would watch any show or old movie that had the shadowy figure. One who for centuries on end fought his way through dark shadows with even darker intentions to find the one intangible thing they’ve always desired. He could be a vampire, demon, an angel, a dragon slayer or a knight but the idea of an eternal being forever searching for the one thing or the one person that he’d give his immortality for well, that’s just damned sexy.
I love a story where it’s all about the desire, the chase, the final fight and the copulation of it all.
When you’re in not good state and have got no money to go out from that, you would require to take the loans. Just because that should aid you definitely. I take collateral loan every time I need and feel myself good just because of it.
